Jab We Met (Hindi: जब वी मेट, English: When We Met) is a 2007 Hindi romantic comedy film. Directed and written by Imtiaz Ali, the film, produced by Dhillin Mehta under Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in their fourth film together. Dara Singh and Saumya Tandon, prominent actors from the north Indian film industry, played the roles of the lead character's relatives in the movie.
The film tells the story of a feisty Punjabi girl who is sent off track when she bumps into a depressed Mumbai businessman on an overnight sleeper to Delhi. While attempting to get him back on board when he alights at a station stop, both are left stranded in the middle of nowhere. Having walked out of his pressurised corporate job, the man has no destination in mind, until the girl forces him to accompany her back home and then on to elope with her secret boyfriend.
Releasing in the U.K., a day before its worldwide release of October 26, 2007, the film went on to become a major hit at the Indian box office as well as doing good business overseas. Owing to its success, the distributors of the film, Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, announced that Jab We Met would be remade by corporate entity Moser Baer in four South Indian languages
Song Review:
Tum He Se (3 Versions): Pritam has the proficiency of inundating new talents and "Tum Hi Se" maintains its decorum with full ease and gesture. Mohit Chauhan (vocalist of "Silk Route") gets his first major breakthrough in filmdom in this track that correlates to his flair of music and styling in terms of wordings and arrangements. The song is about communion of lovers that emotes in soft sonorous tonality with effective backdrop of mushy lyrical flow amidst enlightening orchestration. This may not be Mohit Chauhan's finest track as his Indi-Pop numbers like "Guncha" and "Dooba Dooba" have been more penetrative but it still works brilliantly for the desired situation.

"Tum Hi Se (instrumental)" is enchanting instrumental work that has synchronized choral flows depicting the blooming of romance in landscaped hilly surroundings. It's an impressive background score that will enlighten the chemistry of love birds and possibly enhance the narrative flow of the film. It may sound disappointing but this mellifluous number is unnecessarily remixed in "club" style to boost album sales and this is too jarring and unimposing to make any impact. "Tum Hi Se (remix)" deserves to be rehashed in "lounge" version for its serene feel but it comes as unwanted guest in typical "club" version mode with bleak results.

Lyrics:
na hai yeh pana, na khona hi hai
tera na hona jane, kyun hona hi hai
tum se hi din hota hai, surmaiye shaam aati, tumse hi, tumse hi
har ghadi saans aati hai, zindagi kehlati hai, tumse hi, tumse hi
na hai yeh pana, na khona hi hai
tera na hona jane, kyun hona hi hai
aankhon mein ankhein teri, bahoon mein baahein teri
mera na mujhmein kuch raha, hua kya
baaton mein baatein teri, raatein saugatein teri
kyun tera sab yeh ho gaya, hua kya
main kahin bhi jata hoon, tumse hi mil jata hoon, tumse hi, tumse hi
shoor mein khamoshi hai, thodi si behoshi hai, tum se hi, tum se hi
aadha sa wada kabhi, aadhe se jayada kabhi
jee chaahe kar lu is tarah wafa ka
chhode na chhoote kabhi, tode na tute kabhi
jo dhaga tumse jud gaya wafa ka
main tera sarmaya hoon, jo main ban paya hoon, tumse hi, tumse hi
raaste mil jaate hai, manzile mil jaati hai, tumse hi, tumse hi
na hai yeh paana, na khona hi hai
tera na hona jaane kyun hona hi hai
